What is coaching?

The International Coach Federation defines coaching as, “partnering with clients in a thought provoking and creative process that inspires them to maximize their personal and professional potential.” The coach-client relationship is a partnership. We work together and propel you towards your goals.

What is Spiritual Coaching?

Spiritual Coaching is the same as general Life Coaching, but adds the ability to explore topics with a Spiritual lens, looking for deeper meaning.

What is Yoga?

Yoga is a multifaceted practice that originated in ancient India. While many people associate it primarily with physical postures (asanas), it’s actually a holistic approach to well-being that encompasses the mind, body, and spirit.

The word “yoga” itself comes from the Sanskrit root “yuj,” meaning “to yoke” or “to unite.” This aptly reflects the core aim of yoga, which is to cultivate a sense of wholeness and integration within oneself.

    Perfectionism

As I’m packing for my trip, I can feel my anxiety increasing slowly, but steadily. My mom forgot to pack up my son’s swim trunks from when he stayed at her house and now I don’t have a spare pair for him for our trip. Anxiety demons are approaching! Now, I have to go and Read more

  • The New Authenticity

    The New Authenticity

Forget “reality shows” and shallow self-exposure. True authenticity isn’t just about being “real” or exposing your vulnerabilities. It’s about something deeper, a state of being. Imagine yourself heart open, fully present. No masks, no performances, just genuine connection with yourself and others. This vulnerability isn’t about proving worth; it’s about embracing your emotions and sharing Read more

Why is it SO hard to Get Back into Yoga?

I regularly run into previous students that tell me that they want to get back into yoga, but things make it too hard. Some of them have no idea why they are struggling to get back in. Honestly, I understand. I have gone through it myself. There are many reasons why getting back into your Read more

Can’t Make More Money than Papa

Did you know that many people struggle with the idea of rising above their parent’s socioeconomic status? For some people, it’s out of respect for their parents. Mindfulness and Centering Before Prayer

Prayer is personal. I have known many people who do not pray and the very word makes them uncomfortable. Some of those people are very spiritual, still. In just a few months of working with DeAnna, I have experienced amazing growth and healing in my life. I was initially apprehensive, but DeAnna immediately put me at ease. She is professional, knowledgeable, and compassionate, and I felt like I was talking with a close friend. After each session, I felt lighter and more empowered to reach my goals. Through her support, practical advice, and spiritual guidance, I have increased my confidence, improved relationships, and have a more joyful and peaceful life. I can’t thank her enough for what she has done – and continues to do – for me!

DeAnna is quite possibly the most gracious and grounding person I have ever known. Spending time with DeAnna was the best decision I’ve made in a long time. It was more helpful than anything else I’ve tried to navigate longtime depression and anxiety. I had been looking for answers so long and she helped me find the answers that were within me all along. As unbelievable as it sounds, I felt like I had reclaimed control of my life and my confidence felt restored after years of low self esteem, after just two sessions of coaching.

When I entered her office I wondered how it would feel different from therapy sessions. Although there is definitely value in counseling, coaching with Deanna is an experience that allows a person to not just process their experiences but fine tune themselves to be who they were born to become. DeAnna gave me the space to grieve losses, process why I had felt stuck, and contemplate my next steps for becoming the me I longed to become. I was grieving losses from an ongoing fertility journey.

Because of DeAnna, I felt so much less alone and had a space to express my pain and not feel judged. I was also grieving a difficult past relationship that although I had long gotten out of, left me in a cycle of shame and regret.

Because of DeAnna, I got the tools to free myself of the chains of the past to embrace my already wonderful present. I look forward and don’t look back except to remember good memories from positive experiences.

Because of DeAnna, I have felt more comfortable in my own skin than I have ever felt in my life. I have accepted I am unique and my anxious nature that I formerly self loathed, I now recognize makes me a caring and empathetic person. I am proud of who I am.

Because of DeAnna, I don’t wake up beating myself up for what I didn’t do or how I’ve failed. I wake up and celebrate even the smallest of wins which has helped me immensely personally and professionally.

Because of DeAnna, my prayer and meditation habits are the strongest they have ever been. The time with DeAnna is priceless and powerful. I cannot recommend her enough. What she gives during the coaching session is incredibly helpful and the way the time ends is also so centering. The meditation she led before leaving helped clear the path for me mentally to move forward with clearer intentions and goals.

From a lifetime of living in fight or flight; I knocked my nervous system so out of whack that my sciatic nerve eventually got so inflamed that a simple movement of opening my dog’s crate herniated the L1 and L2 discs in my lower back.  This was 2 years ago. I was flat on my back for 5 days in excruciating pain.  My body had my full attention and it was then that I made a pinky promise to her that I would take care of her. I became more intentional with my daily routine. I learned to walk and carry myself in a different way. I paid attention to my posture and tried to strengthen my body.  As I was healing, I started understanding the deep rooted generational trauma that I unknowingly carried in my body and made an effort to heal this too. Walking and Pilates were the activities I added to my life first but I was still living with pain. I’d feel pain getting out of bed, feeding my dogs, getting dressed, driving…all of the time. The pain became the background of my life.

About 6 months ago, I started going to DeAnna’s yoga class 3 times a week. After a couple of months, I recognized that I was not feeling pain when I got out of bed or when I was feeding the dogs! I take it slowly, modify my poses, but I show up consistently. I am still healing but with each class I am discovering new things about my body and for the first time I feel like I am understanding the role my nervous system plays in my body and how important it is. I always thought yoga was about strength, balance and flexibility but now I understand it goes so much deeper than that. The breathing and flow of yoga helps relax my mind while challenging my body. I think of it as an active way of loving myself. Thank you DeAnna for guiding my mind and body into a better place.
